Exciting Web Design Transforms Berbay’s Website to Reflect a Unique Company
Berbay is an innovative, results-driven public relations and marketing company based in Los Angeles, CA. Its expert team specializes in supporting professional service firms in law, finance, and real estate all across the United States—aside from Los Angeles, they also serve clients in Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Austin, Miami, and Seattle.
With over 30 years of specific experience, the Berbay team has a deep understanding of their clients’ industries. The company provides full-service solutions that build visibility and credibility, fueling successful PR and marketing efforts and overall revenue growth.
Using our expertise and insights from previous data-driven achievements in website design, the Ballistic Arts team delivered a customized website to Berbay within a constrained timeline. After overcoming several challenges, we surpassed Berbay’s expectations by offering designs that brought their team’s vision to life. We ensured our design adhered to UI/UX best practices and aligned with the PR company’s innovative, engaging branding.
Problem
Berbay contacted Ballistic Arts because it was unhappy with other design proposals it received. It was actively looking to rebuild its website but needed to find a web developer or marketing agency that aligned with its vision.
The previous design proposals Berbay received felt very plain and straight out of a template—the team knew this would not solve their problem.
After finding us, they came across our portfolio, where we outline project outcomes that we’re proud of. They saw the innovative and modern website builds we created for clients like Burke Mountain Village and Seaspan and were convinced we could deliver a more exciting and engaging re-design for their website.
Since the team sees itself as an innovative PR agency compared to its competitors (primarily men), it makes sense that Los Angeles-based Berbay wants a digital product that is equally unique and aligns with the company.
Solution
To ensure a successful partnership, Ballistic Arts needed to create a website that captured Berbay’s unique essence. Recognizing their past challenges with another agency, we had to provide a smooth and positive experience.
The Berbay team came to us with a clear vision for their website redesign, knowing precisely what they desired. Our primary challenge was accurately translating their envisioned concept into the final web product.
By thoroughly understanding Berbay’s specific concerns and objectives, we created numerous iterations that underwent several revisions. This collaborative approach enabled us to align effectively with our client’s vision, resulting in the launch of the redesigned website that our client was incredibly proud of.
Detailed Process
Leveraging Figma for Iterative Design
In developing Berbay’s website, our UI/UX designer used Figma to showcase preliminary designs. Right away, we were able to foster a highly collaborative relationship with our client.
Our approach allowed for an in-depth dialogue regarding Berbay’s requirements, past experiences, and the company’s vision for its online presence.
Figma’s capability to simulate a realistic website experience from the earliest stages significantly enhanced our ability to engage in effective feedback loops. With each iteration, we presented website designs that were more closely aligned with Berbay’s expectations and brand identity.
Quick Turnaround Time
We were mindful of Berbay’s specific timelines. It was imperative to synchronize with their in-house web development team for the final implementation; therefore, we worked diligently to complete the project at an intense pace.
We did face challenges because the Berbay team wanted more than five revisions done—and they weren’t just minor tweaks! The Berbay team knew what they wanted but initially had difficulty converting their requirements effectively.
Despite the extensive revision process, our seasoned team delivered prompt revisions and a stellar final design within the deadlines. What might ordinarily be seen as a setback instead led to a product that not only met, but exceeded expectations.
Results
As we mentioned, this project didn’t come without its bumps. In the beginning, Berbay was not pleased with our initial layout proposals. However, we didn’t get frustrated, and their response pushed us to want to create a product they would genuinely love.
Through persistent revisions and open communication channels, we successfully refined the concept to capture Berbay’s essence fully. Our final design deliverable surpassed the client’s expectations, leading to a web design that excited the Berbay team and was perfectly aligned with the company’s vision.
The project was so successful that Berbay has since become an enthusiastic advocate for our services, referring multiple potential clients to us.
