The Power of Branding: Highlighting Finch Drive’s Unique Value Proposition

Real estate development companies face the challenge of a highly competitive industry. With so many options, grabbing potential buyers’ attention is difficult!

It makes sense that real estate development companies struggle to stand out among their competitors.

How does a real estate developer set itself apart from competitors? The first thing your company needs is strong branding that aligns with your strategy and focuses on your unique value proposition (UVP)

Customers are more likely to go with a company that has a well-known brand. It helps to communicate the values and personality of a business, and can influence customer perceptions about the quality and value of its products or services. Once customers feel as though the brand is familiar, they’re more likely to be confident with their buying decision. Furthermore, consistent branding will build trust with current customers and can create a sense of loyalty that can lead to repeat business and referrals.

That means your company not only needs to have a well-defined brand, but it also needs to make sure that this branding is present across all media. This includes all online advertising, website, social media presence, and print materials like signage or traditional print advertising.

Once your brand is created, it’s important to ensure that all of your channels accurately represent your company, brand, and offerings. It makes a substantial difference when trying to win over clientele. Let’s take a look at a real-life example.

Branding Project for Finch Drive

Introducing Finch Drive, a multi-family development project in Squamish, presented by Diamond Head Development (DHD). Not only does Finch Drive offer potential residents fantastic views, but the company also focuses on building sustainable developments—their UVP!

Finch Drive homes are built to be net-zero and geothermal. They even offer an option to install solar panels so a home can be sun-powered. But the company wasn’t sure how to visually showcase these key differentiation factors and tell a well-rounded story to stand out. They needed to highlight their UVP to compete with the many developments and real estate options popping up around Metro Vancouver.

DHD connected with Ballistic Arts in search of a way to stand out and properly communicate their focus on sustainability in their developments. Here’s how the Ballistic Arts team helped DHD Finch Drive achieve the results they were looking for to advertise Finch Drive.

Problem

DHD was looking for a way to tell its story. The company wanted to highlight its commitment to sustainable real estate clearly in its new development, Finch Drive. The company wanted people to understand their unique offering, especially since Finch Drive is the first sustainable development project of its kind in Squamish.

Solution

Ballistic Arts used storytelling and powerful visual identity to create the branding and visual identity for Finch Drive. To ensure that this new work was consistent across all of Finch Drive’s channels, we worked on creating varied, but cohesive collateral for both digital and print.

Diving Into Ballistic Arts’ Process

DHD came to us with the name “Finch Drive”. This name was meant to pay homage to the birds in the area. Once they shared this with us, we knew we needed to create the development branding and a visual identity that would align with the company’s vision and compel potential customers.

The Ballistic Arts team felt very aligned with this project. As a company, part of our core values is to affect positive change and positively impact the future. We felt DHD was very focused on a more environmentally-conscious future, through developing sustainable buildings.

The internal team went through in-depth creative sessions with detailed brainstorms and mood boards. Through this process, we developed a successful umbrella mark for Finch Drive and made sure it was clearly laid out with the brand standards manual.

This branding continued into a website for Finch Drive that clearly showcased the features of Finch Drive. We also suggested creating videos since their story was so compelling. Our team was able to capture the story of this sustainable project through multiple professional videos

Overall, the digital assets were created to successfully tell their story, pique potential customers’ interest, and clearly communicate Finch Drive’s USP.

We were put in charge of the first phase of duplexes logotype and graphics. We produced all of the print collateral needed, including signage (hoarding + main site sign), e-brochure, ads, feature sheet, floorplans, site plan and sales office boards. DHD was so impressed with our work that we have now finished the second phase as well!

Prism Engineering Website

This second phase consists of townhomes, called The Alexander. For this stage of the project, the Ballistic Arts team worked on a variety of marketing aspects for DHD. We updated all the print materials and signage, updated the website and created a “Sizzle Reel” for social media that will be released shortly.

Another unique component we made was a case study video. The intention of this video was to showcase DHD’s sustainable approach to development. It shows them dismantling the sites with ethical practices and can be seen at the bottom of the Finch Drive home page.
