Como Creek Clean 2017

In celebration of Ballistic Arts’ 15th anniversary, our crew collected 7 bags of trash and 5 bags of recycling during our local creek clean this past Wednesday.

Our event was organized through The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, which is a national conservation initiative between the Vancouver Aquarium and the World Wildlife Fund. We found a few rugs, some plastic balls, a bunch of clothes, and a lot of food wrappers among all of the litter at Como Creek and Como Creek Park.

The Shoreline Cleanup is one of the largest direct action environmental events in Canada. It engages tens of thousands of participants annually across the nation. Over the last twenty-three years, the cleanups have removed more than 1 million kilograms of garbage from our shorelines.
