Our short motion graphics video clearly communicates the SBIRT procedure in a fun and effective manner.

Because this video was also going to be used for staff training purposes, we used simplified graphics and concise text to make the video as comprehensive as possible. The colours that were used in the video were limited to blue, green, yellow and red to keep VCH’s corporate identity strong. In addition to a bright colour scheme and a friendly animation style, our video specialists decided to use an uplifting music bed to create an inspiring tone.

Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) is a practice that is used by VCH that helps to identify and reduce alcohol and drug abuse.

VCH has over 22,000 staff, 2,500 physicians and 5,000 volunteers that operate across Vancouver, Richmond, the North Shore and along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, Sunshine Coast, and B.C.'s Central Coast. While many of their services are offered in 13 different hospitals, they offer a number of other services including: primary care, community-based residential and home health care, mental health services, addiction services, public health services, and research.
